Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Fuego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales comes to the cage accompanied by Himno Nacional Mexicano. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Enrique Gonzales! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jayden Fuego! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fuego is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Fuego working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gonzales. Gonzales thows a big elbow that misses. Gonzales stops Fuego from standing up. Gonzales looking to pass the guard. Fuego uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gonzales throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gonzales missing with a left hand there. Fuego was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fuego shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gonzales misses with a takedown attempt and Fuego decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gonzales's guard. Fuego stands and steps away. Gonzales gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gonzales throws the left hand but Fuego avoids the punch easily. A big left from Gonzales misses. Gonzales moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Gonzales misses with a takedown attempt and Fuego counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fuego. Gonzales is breathing heavily. Fuego jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuego managing to control the position. Fuego wants to sweep but no luck. Fuego looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Gonzales trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fuego wants to stand but Gonzales is controlling the position. Gonzales has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gonzales missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fuego is looking to stand up but Gonzales isn't so interested in that idea. Gonzales throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gonzales cracks Fuego with a good jab. Fuego fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gonzales, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuego turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gonzales is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Gonzales is pressing down on Fuego's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gonzales throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Fuego must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fuego won't allow Gonzales to sweep him here. Gonzales lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fuego! Fuego is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gonzales is working for a guillotine from mount but Fuego frees his head quite easily.
Gonzales looking to secure an arm triangle but Fuego defends it well. Fuego tries to reverse the position but Gonzales maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fuego tries to hold on but Gonzales pushes him away. Gonzales thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fuego sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Fuego is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzales is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fuego defends it well. Fuego actively working from the bottom here. Gonzales is looking for a kimura. Fuego pushes Gonzales off and gets back to his feet. Fuego takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Enrique Gonzales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzales lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fuego at a distance.

Fuego shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gonzales pinned against the cage. Gonzales gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fuego gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gonzales. Fuego shoots in for a double leg but Gonzales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Enrique Gonzales has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jayden Fuego. Gonzales misses with a jab, cross combination.

Fuego changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gonzales is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jayden Fuego will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gonzales gets caught flat footed, as Fuego shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gonzales keeping full guard, as Fuego tries to pass. Fuego decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gonzales, up you get! Jayden Fuego is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gonzales throws out a loose jab but Fuego uses good head movement to avoid it. Fuego wants to clinch. Gonzales swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fuego counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fuego tries to stand and escape but Gonzales is controlling the position. Fuego is pressing down on Gonzales's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gonzales is holding on for now. Fuego is trying to control the action in half guard but Gonzales is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gonzales is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fuego's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fuego's back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fuego trying to control but not successfully. Gonzales connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Fuego to escape the position.
Gonzales is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Fuego taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Gonzales.
