Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nintendo Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nintendo Takada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cage!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takada shoots for a double leg takedown but Cage sprawls well. He's pushed Takada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Takada looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Takada chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cage can pounce on him.
Takada takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cage throws an overhand right that lands on Takada's shoulder, as Takada tries to avoid the shot.
Cage feints and then cracks Takada's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Takada down.
Cage scores with a jab to the head.
Takada fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Takada misses with a straight left.
Cage scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Takada swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cage lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Takada blocks a low kick nicely.

Takada scores with a takedown into Cage's guard.
Cage trying to keep a closed guard but Takada is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cage avoids the attempt from Takada to control.

Takada wants to control but Cage is having none of it.

Takada tries to reverse the position but Cage maintains control.
Cage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Takada tries to lock up and control but Cage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Takada closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cage circles away.
Cage uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takada.
Cage moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Takada connects with a single shot there.
Takada throws a hook to the side of Cage's head but Cage sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Cage lands with an uppercut that bounces Takada off the cage and back into rage.

Cage throws a wild body kick that Takada sees coming a mile off.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cage darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Johnny Cage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Takada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cage scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnny Cage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Nintendo Takada's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cage throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takada sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Takada shoots in and bounces Cage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Takada postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cage is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Takada, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takada had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cage is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Takada Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cage's back instead.
Takada lands shots from the back.
Takada is looking to control Cage but Cage is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Cage covering up well under a series of strikes from Takada.

Takada is persistently looking for the submission but Cage is defending it well.

Takada throws strikes from the back but Cage rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Cage.

Takada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cage controls Takada momentarily but Takada frees himself.
Takada pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cage is keeping the position for now.
Cage keeping moving, preventing Takada from controlling successfully.
Takada is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cage is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Takada misses with a two punch combination.

Takada throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cage.
Takada misses with a hook. Cage ducked under it nicely.
Takada waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Cage.
Cage throws a series of punches but Takada avoids them all with ease.
Nintendo Takada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Cage counters with a nice low kick that buckles Takada's knee momentarily.

Takada looks to throw the jab but Cage is out of range.

Takada shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cage is trying to defend but Takada finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cage can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cage tries to roll over but Takada keeps him under control.
Takada wants to free his trapped foot but Cage is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cage manages to get to full guard.
Takada wants to control from the top but Cage keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nintendo Takada showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
