Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Denga Sanyu (ranked 777 p4p, 2136 weight class) and Alexis Herny (ranked 94 p4p, 253 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denga Sanyu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexis Herny!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herny is looking to clinch.
Sanyu was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sanyu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sanyu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Herny tries to clinch but Sanyu is having none of it.
Herny wants to clinch
and Sanyu counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Herny digs a good hook to Sanyu's body.
Sanyu jabs at Herny's body.
Herny swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Herny looks to move away, Sanyu throws a big counter combo but Herny just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Herny moves into the clinch.
Sanyu is trying to break the clinch but Herny is controlling him.
Sanyu is trying to break free.
Herny manages to break the clinch.
Sanyu digs a good body shot into Herny's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Herny tries to clinch there but Sanyu circles away.
Herny throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Herny throws a right hand that Sanyu ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanyu also avoids with ease.
Herny fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanyu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Herny moves in looking to clinch but Sanyu pushes him off.
Herny gets a clinch.
Sanyu turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sanyu manages to end up in side control.
Sanyu throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Sanyu stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Sanyu misses with a body punch
and Herny counters with a left and a right that stings Sanyu.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Herny fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sanyu fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Alexis Herny has been cut.
Sanyu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Herny moves in looking to clinch but Sanyu pushes him off.
Sanyu swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Sanyu swats away the attempt to clinch by Herny.
Herny moves into range and clinches up with Sanyu.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanyu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A right hook to the body lands for Sanyu.
Herny prevents the takedown attempt.
Herny breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Herny looks to clinch
and Sanyu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Herny lands a body shot.
Alexis Herny is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sanyu scores with a nice strike.
Herny drops his hands momentarily and Sanyu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Herny is rocked!
Sanyu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Herny is still on wobbly legs! Can Sanyu finish him?
Sanyu ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Herny's jaw. Herny's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Sanyu does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Denga Sanyu!
