Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23423 p4p, 23249 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 51 - 72 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 57 - 72 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga fails with a takedown attempt.
Amiga closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Salvacion wants to improve his position but Amiga is controlling well.

Amiga is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Amiga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salvacion controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Amiga gets caught napping as Salvacion dives in and scores a takedown. Amiga manages to retain guard.

Salvacion is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage.
Salvacion trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Salvacion controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Amiga manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense.
Amiga dives in for a single leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Salvacion has Amiga pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Amiga manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Salvacion goes for a takedown in the clinch but Amiga prevents it.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.

Salvacion drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Amiga gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Salvacion turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Salvacion manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Amiga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Amiga holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Amiga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Salvacion wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Amiga is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Salvacion off and has taken his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salvacion wants to control his opponent's hands but Amiga gets his hands free.
Richard John Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Amiga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.
The referee is taking a good look at Salvacion as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Amiga!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Amiga controlling well, preventing Salvacion from escaping the position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Salvacion shoots in for a double leg but Amiga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Amiga displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salvacion.

Salvacion let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salvacion.
And Amiga counters with a quick kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.

Amiga gets caught flat footed, as Salvacion shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Salvacion throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Amiga thinks about countering with a body kick.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time.
Amiga looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick.
Amiga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Amiga lands in his opponent's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion is trying to keep Amiga in close.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gakus Amiga.
I think Amiga has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
