Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Aoki (ranked 3911 p4p, 23453 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 348 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaru Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 82 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiang shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kiang showed some decent athleticism there.
Aoki wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aoki tries to kick Kiang off in order to stand up. Kiang Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aoki is looking to regain half guard here but Kiang keeps moving and retains side control.
Aoki is working hard here to advance position.
Aoki pushes Kiang away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kiang gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kiang landing a few strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiang working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Aoki striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Aoki is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Aoki sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Aoki is trying to stand.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Aoki moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Some wild striking there from Aoki.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kiang stuffs the takedown.
Aoki rushes Kiang and presses him up against the cage.
Aoki wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kiang has him pressed against the cage.
Aoki breaks from the clinch.
Masaru Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki shoots for a takedown but Kiang saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Aoki lands a jab-cross combination.
Kiang is rocked!
Aoki lands with a right that hurts Kiang. Kiang looks to clinch but Aoki throws a short knee that drops Kiang. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Masaru Aoki!
