Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Khamzat Chimaev (ranked 3721 p4p, 3284 weight class) and Gorath DeeStroy (ranked 413 p4p, 380 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Khamzat Chimaev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gorath DeeStroy! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeeStroy shoots for a double leg takedown but Chimaev sprawls well. He's pushed DeeStroy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Chimaev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has DeeStroy pinned against the cage. DeeStroy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Chimaev fails to land the takedown. Horrible takedown attempt by DeeStroy or perhaps it was just good defense by Chimaev, which made it look bad. DeeStroy shoots in but no luck this time. Khamzat Chimaev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gorath DeeStroy. Chimaev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Chimaev is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chimaev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and DeeStroy counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Chimaev is lucky that one didn't land flush. DeeStroy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. DeeStroy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chimaev swats him away and circles back towards the center. Chimaev feinted with a counter takedown. DeeStroy closes the distance and clinches up with Chimaev, looking for a takedown. DeeStroy pushes Chimaev against the cage but Chimaev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. As DeeStroy tries to get set, Chimaev tries to push him back and clinch up but DeeStroy manages to avoid the attempt.
 That's one minute gone in the round. DeeStroy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chimaev as he avoids it easily. Chimaev appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Chimaev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says DeeStroy as he avoids it easily. DeeStroy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chimaev is fending him off so far but DeeStroy persists. Nope, Chimaev circles away and we're back to standing.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. DeeStroy wants to control but Chimaev is keeping him busy. Chimaev on his back here. DeeStroy has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Chimaev defend it? DeeStroy steps over the head and cranks it - Chimaev is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for DeeStroy!
