Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mitchell's guard.
Alter drops back looking for a leg! Mitchell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mitchell manages to kick Alter off! Alter jumps back into Mitchell's guard.
Alter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mitchell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mitchell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alter won't allow Mitchell to sweep him here.
Alter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mitchell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alter manages to get himself to full guard.
Mitchell stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Alter throws up his legs and catches Mitchell in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Mitchell tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Alter! That came out of nowhere!
