Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Norman Jalisco (ranked 1287 p4p, 2171 weight class) and Xander Scott (ranked 157 p4p, 254 weight class). Scott is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Norman Jalisco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xander Scott! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jalisco lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Scott backs up against the cage.
 It looks like Xander Scott has been cut. Nice body punch from Scott. Scott has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Scott darts in and clinches Jalisco up against the cage.
Jalisco breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Scott closes the distance looking to clinch letting Jalisco counter with a right hand. Jalisco takes a swing at Scott's ribcage but misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Scott! But no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
 It looks like Norman Jalisco has been cut. Scott connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jalisco momentarily.
Scott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jalisco.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jalisco takes one to the chin there. Scott misses with an uppercut. Jalisco saw that one coming. Scott misses with a hook. Jalisco swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Scott misses the jab. Jalisco punishes Scott's body with a nice straight punch. Jalisco moves forwards but Scott connects with a nice, crisp jab. Scott misses with a series of wild punches.
Scott cracks Jalisco with an open hand slap.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jalisco staying out of range there. Scott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jalisco. Scott throws a jab when Jalisco was well out of range. Jalisco is looking to counter punch. Jalisco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Scott.
Scott moves into the clinch successfully.
A short body shot lands from Jalisco as the two fighters clinch.
Jalisco blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Scott keeps control of Jalisco as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jalisco content to slow the pace in the clinch.
I was talking to Jalisco's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A frustrated look appears on Jalisco's face as he tries to break the clinch. Scott controlling the action here for a moment.

Scott has a couple of punches blocked by Jalisco.

Scott fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Jalisco blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jalisco goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Scott throws a head punch that misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Scott. Scott throws a head punch that misses.

Scott is looking for a triangle but Jalisco pushes his legs off easily.
Jalisco throws a big right hand that misses. Jalisco throws a strike but Scott rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jalisco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Scott is controlling him. Scott wants to pass the guard but Jalisco is keeping the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xander Scott dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Scott thuds his right hand into Jalisco's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jalisco throws a lazy right hand but Scott sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Jalisco. Scott does a little dance to reset his feet. Scott looks to land a left hand but Jalisco moved out of range nicely. Jalisco seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Jalisco clobbers Scott with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Nice jab there from Jalisco. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott scores with a nice right hand.
Scott has closed the distance and engaged Jalisco in a clinch.
Jalisco wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jalisco just leaning against Scott, taking a breather.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Scott tries to pull guard but Jalisco holds him up against the cage and eventually Scott drops back down to his feet.
Scott lands with a short head shot on the inside. Jalisco is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Scott fails to land. Scott jumps guard but Jalisco stands there with Scott around his waist. Scott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Scott throws a punch but it's blocked by Jalisco. Scott has a couple of punches blocked by Jalisco.
Scott misses with a short punch on the inside.
Scott jumps guard and drags Jalisco to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Scott has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jalisco is stalling in the full guard. Jalisco has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scott has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jalisco should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Scott has tightened it up now! Jalisco should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Xander Scott! A very excited looking Xander Scott rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
