Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Fu !
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Onigawa.
Fu scores with a kick to the body.
Fu tries a head kick but it misses.
Onigawa is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Fu .
We've been informed that Fu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Fu moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Fu throws a good cross that connects.
Fu tests Onigawa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fu lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fu .

Onigawa appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Fu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Onigawa moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Onigawa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fu sprawls well. Fu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Onigawa gets slowly back to his feet.
Fu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Onigawa. That did some damage!
Fu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Fu 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Onigawa under the eye.
Fu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Tommy Fu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Onigawa walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fu .
Fu throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Onigawa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Whack! Fu lands a heavy head kick that drops Onigawa. The ref tackles Fu to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Onigawa was done.

After the fight, Tommy Fu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
