Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cas Jansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Mandeville!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jansen closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mandeville counters with a one-two to the body.
Jansen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mandeville swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jansen darts in trying to clinch

and Mandeville counters with a takedown into side control.
Jansen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mandeville asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Mandeville has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jansen is looking to get back to his feet here but Mandeville is keeping cool and he's managed to take Jansen's back.
Jansen is trying to get back to his feet but Mandeville has full control of the position and if anything, Jansen has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Mandeville's coach down at Steel Penn Training Den was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mandeville's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Mandeville counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mandeville.

Jansen has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Mandeville is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Jansen pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Jansen is wriggling around but Mandeville manages to pass to half guard.

Jansen pushes Mandeville off looking to stand but Mandeville dives back in and keeps control.

and Mandeville counters with a right hand to the body.
Jansen tries to close the distance and clinch but Mandeville swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jansen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mandeville.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
