Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Martensson (ranked 3109 p4p, 25467 weight class) and Mathew Nielsen (ranked 319 p4p, 489 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Martensson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lil' Wayne - Drop The World. The key to victory for Jesper Martensson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesper Martensson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mathew Nielsen!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielsen tries to clinch but Martensson moves out of range.
Nielsen darts in looking for a takedown but Martensson gets double underhooks and turns Nielsen into the cage.
Martensson cracks Nielsen with an open hand slap.
Martensson rushes Nielsen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Martensson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nielsen uses from the top position.
Martensson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nielsen wants to control from the top but Martensson keeps moving.
Martensson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Martensson has Nielsen pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nielsen wants to get up but he can't break Martensson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nielsen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martensson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nielsen has managed to get both his arms back between Martensson's legs - danger averted.

Martensson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nielsen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Martensson.

Nielsen pushes Martensson off, looking to escape but Martensson dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Nielsen is forced to tap! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Jesper Martensson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
