The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kristof tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Conger feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Kristof tries to close the distance and clinch up but Conger swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Conger seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Conger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kristof moves in looking to clinch but Conger pushes him off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kristof closes the distance and pushes Conger back into the cage.
Conger goes for a takedown attempt but Kristof pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kristof lands a damaging elbow.
Conger is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Conger takes an elbow to the temple.
Kristof stops a takedown attempt from Conger.
Conger is trying to force a seperation but Kristof has the dominant position.

Conger tries for a takedown but Kristof manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Casper Conger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Conger has clasped his hands together around Kristof's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Kristof is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Conger asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Conger has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kristof is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Conger yanks on the arm and Kristof is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Conger.
