The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mata takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Pequeno fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pequeno sizes up Mata with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Decent striking displayed by Pequeno there.
Pequeno shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mata eats them both and turns towards Pequeno to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mata is rocked!
Mata is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Pequeno just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Mata has gone limp and this one is over!
