Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rico Milka!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 47 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hall!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Milka.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hall has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hall shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Milka is trying to defend but Hall finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hall wants to take a breather but Milka is having none of it.
Milka pushes Hall off looking to stand but Hall dives back in and keeps control.

Hall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Milka keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall trying to pass the guard but Milka defending well.

Hall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Milka is just riding it out for now. Hall eventually gives up the hold.

Hall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Milka!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hall controlling from the full mount.
Milka trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hall wants to control the pace but Milka is squirming around nicely.
Milka squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Hall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Milka is looking to escape.

Hall with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hall tries to control but Milka wriggling away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hall working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Milka turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hall off and cradles Milka's limp body as Hall celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Richard Hall!
Richard Hall is the new featherweight champion!
An out of breath Richard Hall thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Rico Milka stepped up to the mic, saying 'whaaaat ?'.
