Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Newman (ranked 5456 p4p, 5335 weight class) and Adolf Roser (ranked 505 p4p, 496 weight class). Newman comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Newman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adolf Roser!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roser checks a leg kick.
Roser stuffs the takedown attempt from Newman. Newman gets slowly back to his feet.
Newman looks for a takedown but Roser sprawls well.
Roser is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Roser shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newman is not content to let Roser control the position.

Roser is looking for a kimura but Newman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roser to get the leverage.

Roser uses his free foot to push down on Newman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Newman.

Roser is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Newman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Newman!

Newman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Newman shoots in looking for a takedown. Roser tries to sprawl out of it but Newman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roser manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Newman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Newman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roser circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Newman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Newman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roser is fending him off so far but Newman persists. Nope, Roser circles away and we're back to standing.
Newman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roser pinned against the cage. Roser gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Newman lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Roser has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Roser and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And Roser tries to counter it with a takedown but Newman pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Roser has Newman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Newman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Newman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Newman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Newman misses with a jab, cross combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Roser! But no joy.

Roser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Newman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Roser drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Newman defends it well.
Roser has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Newman is defended easily by Roser.

Newman forces Roser back against the cage and clinches.

Newman has Roser pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Roser manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Newman manages to break the clinch.

Newman has taken the fight to the clinch.
Roser drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Newman cracks Roser with a nice body shot.
Roser has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Newman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Roser is breathing heavily.

Newman jumps into guard, dragging Roser to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roser wants to control from the top but Newman keeps moving.

Newman is pulling down on Roser's head. It's preventing any offense from Roser, at least for the moment.
Newman wants to sweep but no luck.
Roser wants to pass the guard but Newman is keeping the position.
Newman controlling the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Newman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Newman closes the distance and clinches up with Roser, looking for a takedown. Newman pushes Roser against the cage but Roser circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Newman ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Newman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Roser avoids the head kick by Newman.

Newman is working for takedown but Roser is calmly controlling the position for now.

Roser changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Newman fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Roser is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Alex Newman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adolf Roser.
Roser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Newman is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Roser to keep the fight standing.

Newman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Roser looking to sit in guard and control but Newman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Newman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Newman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Roser is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Newman, into his guard.

Roser stands and throws Newman's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Newman wants to control but Roser postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Roser looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Newman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Roser is keen to just control but Newman is a slippery customer.
Roser is thwarting Newman's attempts to control the position.

Newman has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Roser is on him like a limpet, forcing Newman back against the cage.
Newman is pressed up against the cage. Roser has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Newman down to the mat. Newman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Newman throws a sloppy head kick and Roser moves out of range easily.
Roser changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Roser with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Newman to score with a decent uppercut.
Newman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Newman is defended easily by Roser.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Newman closes the distance and pushes Roser back into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alex Newman showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Newman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
