This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 90 wins and 33 losses; Rumsfeld Shart! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Snowstrinski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shart sprawls well initially but Snowstrinski persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Snowstrinski (2) vs (0) Shart
Snowstrinski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Snowstrinski is working for a kimura but Shart is defending it quite comfortably.
Shart is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Snowstrinski is thwarting Shart's attempts to control the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Snowstrinski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shart gets back to full guard.
Shart looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Snowstrinski tries to free his leg and advance position but Shart is retaining full guard. Snowstrinski is pushing down on Shart's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shart is fighting to maintain full guard but Snowstrinski has managed to sneak the leg through.
Snowstrinski is trying to work for a kimura but Shart is defending well.
Snowstrinski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shart doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Snowstrinski.
Snowstrinski is looking for a kimura but Shart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Snowstrinski to get the leverage. Shart is looking to control Snowstrinski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shart avoid being mounted? Shart is looking for a sweep. Snowstrinski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Shart wants to control but Snowstrinski is keeping busy.
Shart is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Shart makes his way to full guard, as Snowstrinski worked for a kimura.
Snowstrinski content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Shart has locked up a guillotine! Shart's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Snowstrinski is holding on here and Shart must be using up a lot of energy. Snowstrinski has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Shart gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Rumsfeld Shart very nearly forgot to thank The Huntington New Age Wellness Community amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. In defeat, Olaf Snowstrinski stepped up to the mic, saying 'I like pancakes!'. |
