Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Montoya!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

As Calderon backs off Montoya throws a huge counter combo but Calderon manages to avoid it all.

Junior Calderon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Montoya counters with a three punch combo that has Calderon backing up. Calderon nods at Montoya to acknowledge the strikes.

Calderon lands a really nice looking cross but Montoya seems unphased.
Calderon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Montoya was well out of range. Poor timing from Calderon.

and Montoya cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Despite the aggression on Montoya's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Montoya throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Calderon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've been told by Calderon's head coaches at Alpha Brasil that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
