The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Magomedov throws a series of punches but Kappa avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magomedov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kappa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Magomedov's sensitive parts.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kappa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Magomedov looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Kappa fakes the leg kick and cracks Magomedov in the body.

Magomedov throws a lazy body kick
and Kappa counters with a body kick that stops Magomedov in his tracks momentarily.
Magomedov misses with a lunging right hand
and Kappa finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Khava Magomedov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Davis Kappa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
