And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samrong Sitsongrit!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sitsongrit connects with a solid leg kick.
Mosquera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sitsongrit sprawls well initially but Mosquera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mosquera seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mosquera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mosquera has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mosquera uses his free foot to push down on Sitsongrit's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sitsongrit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mosquera content just to control the position here.
Mosquera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sitsongrit can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Mosquera.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sitsongrit wants to hold on but Mosquera pushes him away.
Mosquera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mosquera seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sitsongrit for as long as he can get away with.
Samrong Sitsongrit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jairo Vargas Solis Mosquera is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sitsongrit flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
