Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Banner (ranked 2096 p4p, 3537 weight class) and Malachi Cantrell (ranked 244 p4p, 391 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Malachi Cantrell enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Banner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malachi Cantrell! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cantrell takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
 It looks like Malachi Cantrell has been cut. Banner's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cantrell under the eye.
Banner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cantrell's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cantrell holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banner stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Cantrell manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Banner on his heels. He'll look to pass Banner's guard now, I'm sure. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cantrell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cantrell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Banner manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cantrell darts in looking for a takedown but Banner gets double underhooks and turns Cantrell into the cage. Cantrell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banner is fending him off so far but Cantrell persists. Nope, Banner circles away and we're back to standing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cantrell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Banner. Banner obviously looking to wear him down.
Bruce Banner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cantrell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Banner to the mat! Banner manages to get full guard. Cantrell prevents Banner from getting back to his feet.
Banner has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Cantrell has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Cantrell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Banner manages to break the clinch.
Cantrell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bruce Banner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malachi Cantrell. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cantrell. Banner scores with a hook. Cantrell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Banner tries to avoid it but Cantrell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Banner to the ground. Banner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Banner looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Banner with a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Banner lands with a hook. Cantrell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Cantrell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Banner to score with a decent uppercut. Banner fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Banner throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cantrell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Banner is in Cantrell's guard. Cantrell pulls Banner in to control the position. Cantrell has a closed guard, preventing Banner from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banner trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Cantrell controls Banner momentarily but Banner frees himself. Cantrell is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Cantrell lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Cantrell trying to control the position from guard on top but Banner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cantrell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Banner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Banner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Banner!
Cantrell struggling a bit here. Cantrell tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cantrell gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Banner tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cantrell controls his leg. Cantrell is looking for a sweep. Banner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Banner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cantrell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Banner tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cantrell controls his leg. Cantrell tries to roll over but Banner keeps him under control. Cantrell is trying to maintain the position but Banner is very close to passing his half guard.
Cantrell actively working from the bottom here. Cantrell is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Banner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Banner's back!
Cantrell working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Cantrell is persistently looking for the submission but Banner is defending it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Banner dominated that round. The cut man is working on Malachi Cantrell's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Banner scores with a nice right hand.
Malachi Cantrell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Banner lands a high kick!
Banner connects with a nice looking jab.
Banner punishes Cantrell's body with a nice straight punch. Banner throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cantrell's head. Cantrell takes one to the chin there. Cantrell takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cantrell on the wrong end of a nice jab. Banner scores with the left hand. Cantrell knows he should have avoided that one. This has been an exciting period of action! Cantrell gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Banner. Banner lands a glancing blow to the side of Cantrell's head. Good exchange - Banner coming out on top. Cantrell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Banner to score with a decent uppercut. Nice jab there from Banner. Cantrell misses with a takedown and Cantrell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 Cantrell is rocked!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Banner tests Cantrell's chin there with a solid looking shot. Cantrell is still on wobbly legs! Can Banner finish him? Banner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cantrell can do to turn this around? Banner works Cantrell's body with a nice hook. Cantrell seems to have recovered his senses. Nice uppercut there from Banner. Cantrell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Banner. Banner cracks Cantrell with a right hand to the side of the head. Banner lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A jab from Banner does it's job there. Banner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cantrell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action! A combination from Banner does no damage. Nice straight punches there by Banner. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Banner.
Banner gets a takedown into half guard.
Banner stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cantrell to get to his feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Banner jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Banner lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Banner lunges at Cantrell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cantrell's hand. Cantrell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banner is fending him off so far but Cantrell persists. Nope, Banner circles away and we're back to standing. Bruce Banner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malachi Cantrell. Cantrell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Banner rushes Cantrell with punches - Cantrell moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Cantrell goes down! Banner follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Banner!
