Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Thomas (ranked 3770 p4p, 4602 weight class) and Zaiden Mccann (ranked 412 p4p, 462 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zaiden Mccann! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccann manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thomas on his heels. He'll look to pass Thomas's guard now, I'm sure.
Mccann thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mccann is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Thomas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Thomas has a closed guard, preventing Mccann from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mccann. Thomas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mccann trying to stand up but can't free himself from Thomas's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mccann looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Thomas tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mccann manages to circle out of the way.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mccann. Thomas is breathing heavily. Thomas is looking for a sweep. Thomas takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mccann wants to stand but Thomas is controlling his arm.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccann is looking to take a break and control but Thomas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Thomas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mccann working away. A lull in the action here as Mccann stalls from top position. Thomas is not content to let Mccann control the position. Mccann moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccann throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Thomas can't do much from the bottom here.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thomas shoots in and bounces Mccann off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Thomas controlling from the top position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mccann controlling the position. Mccann being controlled here, momentarily. Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Mccann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mccann controls Thomas momentarily but Thomas frees himself. Thomas wants to stand and escape but instead Mccann has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
 And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Zaiden Mccann dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mccann swats away the attempt to clinch by Thomas. Mccann throws a counter combo. Thomas fails with a takedown attempt.
Mccann closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thomas quickly recovers to half guard. Thomas is not content to let Mccann control the position. Mccann tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mccann wants to take a breather but Thomas is having none of it.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Mccann is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Thomas is looking for a sweep. Mccann is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mccann has managed to clinch.
Mccann lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mccann throwing strikes from guard but Thomas blocks nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccann controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mccann avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mccann controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccann preventing the sweep. Thomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mccann manages to get himself to full guard.
Mccann thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Mccann is looking for a triangle but Thomas pushes his legs off easily.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccann has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Thomas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mccann is looking to improve his position.
Thomas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Thomas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Mccann has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thomas is working away from the top position though. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Zaiden Mccann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Thomas clinches up against the cage. Mccann is pressed up against the cage. Thomas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mccann down to the mat. Mccann avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mccann works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Mccann wanted to stand there but Thomas had control of the position. Thomas pulls Mccann in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mccann makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mccann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thomas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Thomas looking for a sweep. Not yet Thomas, not yet. Mccann working some strikes from top position.
Thomas has his foot on Mccann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mccann works his way back into a safe position though.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mccann pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Thomas half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Thomas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mccann closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mccann lands in his opponent's guard. Mccann postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccann sitting in guard, not really doing much. Thomas keeping moving, preventing Mccann from controlling successfully. Thomas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Thomas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thomas tries to get out of the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccann trying to control the position from guard on top but Thomas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mccann missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mccann slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Thomas takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mccann wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thomas, who protects the arm well. Mccann is looking to take a break and control but Thomas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. John Thomas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zaiden Mccann has got the better of the ground game so far. Thomas regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Zaiden Mccann comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mccann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
