Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Block Obama (ranked 1714 p4p, 2679 weight class) and Toxteth Grady (ranked 175 p4p, 273 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Block Obama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toxteth Grady!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grady takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Block Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama lands a nice looking body shot.
Obama lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Obama getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Grady looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Obama lands with a good body shot.
Grady throws a sloppy body shot
and Obama counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Obama lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Grady backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grady throws an off balance right hand
and Obama counters with a nice body shot.
Obama fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Grady doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Obama lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Obama catches Grady napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Grady to the canvas!

Grady is rocked!
Obama tries to free his leg and advance position but Grady is retaining full guard.
Grady is still in real trouble! Can Obama finish him?
Obama sitting in guard here, content to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Obama continues to stall.
Grady seems to have recovered his senses.
Grady pulls Obama in close to his closed guard and prevents Obama from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Obama trying to control but Grady is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Obama controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Grady dips to his left and cracks Obama with an uppercut!
Grady throws a right hand that misses
letting Obama counter with a right hand.
Obama lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Obama scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Obama thuds a left hand into Grady's body.
Obama jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Grady with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Obama to score with a decent uppercut.
Obama lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Grady at a distance.
Obama lands a lovely overhand right.
Grady throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Obama and Grady goes tumbling to the canvas! Obama follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Obama is trying to work for a kimura but Grady is defending well.
Grady is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Grady trying to control from the bottom.
Obama seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grady does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Obama is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Obama wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Obama jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Grady is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Grady and Obama has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Obama wants to control but Grady is keeping him busy.

Obama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grady, who protects the arm well.

Obama tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Grady felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Grady is trying to control Obama's posture but Obama avoids it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Block Obama dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A decent looking cross lands there for Obama.
Grady is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Grady swings widly with a right hand
letting Obama counter with a right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Obama, as that shot connected.
Grady takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Obama connects with a body shot.
Obama scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Obama shoots in but Grady avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Grady connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A shot to the liver by Obama. Beautiful body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Obama lands with a hook. Grady tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Toxteth Grady is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Obama lands a jab.
Grady looks to clinch
and Obama counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Grady throws an off balance right hand
and Obama cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Grady throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Obama is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Obama lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Grady falls backwards - clearly groggy! Obama dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Block Obama!
Our winner, Block Obama, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
