The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricci looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tortella is looking to clinch but Ricci is avoiding it.

Ricci gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ricci is looking for a triangle here but Tortella uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Tortella is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ricci is just riding it out for now. Tortella eventually gives up the hold.
Ricci is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tortella's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tortella's back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
