This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Diminutive Jackson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Paul Crewe!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Jackson darts in and clinches Crewe up against the cage.
Crewe drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jackson jumps guard.
Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crewe trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Crewe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crewe has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crewe looking to improve position, pressing down on Jackson's thigh with his hand. Jackson seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Crewe paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Crewe's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Jackson picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
