PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kjartan Sveinsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armand Agasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armand Agasi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kjartan Sveinsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Armand Agasi!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sveinsson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Agasi tries to avoid it but Sveinsson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Agasi to the ground. Agasi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Agasi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sveinsson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Agasi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sveinsson looks for a takedown but Agasi sprawls well.
Agasi moves away from the strike by Sveinsson.
Agasi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sveinsson.
Agasi defending well as Sveinsson loads up on a big left hand.
Agasi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sveinsson throws a hook to the side of Agasi's head but Agasi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Agasi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Agasi showed some decent athleticism there.
Sveinsson is refusing to be controlled, as Agasi sits in half guard.
Agasi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sveinsson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Agasi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sveinsson is trying to stand back up but Agasi is controlling him

Sveinsson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Agasi on the ground.
Agasi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Agasi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Agasi loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Sveinsson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Agasi land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Agasi stands and salutes the crowd.
