Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Waste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Parrot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Parrot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Waste!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Parrot!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parrot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Waste was covering up waiting for the punch and Parrot finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Parrot looking to sit in guard and control but Waste gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Waste preventing the sweep.
Parrot pulls Waste in close to prevent any damage.
Parrot keeping moving, preventing Waste from controlling successfully.

Waste trying to control the position from guard on top but Parrot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Waste postures up.
Parrot seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Waste wants to control from the top but Parrot keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Parrot wants to sweep here but Waste controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Parrot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Waste is in trouble now - Parrot has advanced to mount!
Waste might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Waste bucks up and throws Parrot to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Parrot gets a takedown into half guard.
Waste tries to get to full guard but Parrot has control of the leg.
Parrot uses his free foot to push down on Waste's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Waste.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Parrot won't let Waste get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Waste throws a push kick but Parrot slaps the foot to one side.
Waste lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Parrot shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Waste napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Waste is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Parrot is controlling him well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Waste seems a little lost for a moment, as Parrot dominates the positioning.
Parrot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waste keeps working.

Waste is not content to let Parrot control the position.

Waste is looking to reverse the position.

Parrot is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Waste's shoulder. That is not cool.
Waste tries to improve position but can't.

Parrot is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.

Waste stops Parrot from passing to mount.
Waste is trying to buck Parrot off.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Parrot closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parrot lands in his opponent's guard.

Waste has his feet on Parrot's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Waste wants to stand and escape but Parrot is having none of it.

Parrotis looking to pass into half guard but Waste pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Waste is in guard.

Parrot fails with the takedown.
Parrot shoots for a takedown but Waste saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Waste tries to bum rush Parrot with a series of wild strikes but Parrot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Parrot dives in and grabs Waste's left leg, looking for a takedown. Waste pushes down on Parrot's head and hops out.
Tony Waste has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Parrot.
Parrot shoots in but Waste avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Waste is looking to clinch but Parrot is avoiding it.
Waste lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Parrot avoids the head kick by Waste.
Waste lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Waste scores with a kick to the midsection.
Waste throws a nice looking combination but Parrot bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight stays on the outside here - Waste looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Parrot shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Parrot showed some decent athleticism there.

Waste regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Parrot.

Parrot looking to sit in guard and control but Waste gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mike Parrot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Waste wants to stand but Parrot has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Waste is fighting to break Parrot's control of his arms but Parrot is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Waste is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
