Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshimo Sakamoto (ranked 25407 p4p, 25409 weight class) and Gozo Shioda (ranked 471 p4p, 455 weight class). Shioda is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Monster Eats Manhattan - Salvation. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gozo Shioda!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shioda throws an off balance right hand
and Sakamoto counters with a nice body shot.

Sakamoto has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sakamoto there as he acknowledges the shot.

As Shioda looks to move away, Sakamoto throws a big counter combo but Shioda just gets out of the way.
Shioda lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sakamoto, as that shot connected.
Shioda is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sakamoto had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Shioda lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Sakamoto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shioda throws out the jab.

A close round but Gozo Shioda will probably get the nod.

Gozo Shioda decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
