Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerimiah Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tiger controlling from the full mount. Jackson is working to get back to half guard.
Tiger with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Jackson tries to hold on but Tiger postures up. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Tiger's attempts to control the action. Tiger prevents Jackson from getting the reversal. Jackson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

It looks like Jerimiah Jackson has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger punishing his opponent with strikes. Tiger jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jackson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Tiger controlling the position from side mount. Tiger working away. Jackson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Tiger looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tiger is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tiger controlling the position. Tiger landing strikes. Jackson is trying to control Tiger's posture but Tiger avoids it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tiger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes. Jackson tries for a takedown but Tiger circles away easily and Tiger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tiger. Jackson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tiger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jackson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tiger's back instead. Jackson has his opponent's back but Tiger is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Jackson. Jackson darts in trying to clinch and Tiger counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jackson has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Tiger escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Tiger!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy. Jackson is trying to improve his position. Tiger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tiger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jackson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tiger off and has taken his back! Tiger manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jackson's guard. Nice work there by Tiger.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tiger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiger moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off. Tiger fails with a takedown attempt. Tiger moves into the clinch. Tiger manages to pull guard.
Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss. Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Tiger blocks nicely. Tiger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Tiger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Tiger is retaining full guard. Jackson passes into half guard. Jackson is keen to just control but Tiger is a slippery customer. Tiger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tiger. Jackson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tiger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tiger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jackson wants to stand but Tiger is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jackson lands a couple of digs. Tiger working a defensive guard but Jackson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Jackson wants to stand but Tiger is controlling his arm. John Tiger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jackson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Tiger to see if he's OK. Tiger sneaks out the side door and pushes Jackson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Jackson blocks a head kick by Tiger.
Tiger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away. Tiger drives through with a takedown into guard. Tiger stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tiger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jackson is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Jackson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tiger has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jackson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Tiger from controlling successfully. Jackson is looking to stand up but Tiger isn't so interested in that idea. Tiger gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting. The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tiger is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tiger wants to clinch. Tiger misses with a kick to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Tiger will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jerimiah Jackson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Tiger shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. Jackson tries for a takedown but Tiger circles away easily and Tiger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Tiger stays in close to Jackson's body and controls the position. Tiger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jackson trying to control the position.
Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tiger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tiger stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Tiger stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tiger has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jackson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Tiger works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jackson wants to get back to striking at distance but Tiger won't allow it.

Jackson throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Jackson wants to break free but Tiger has control.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Tiger is controlling the position. Jackson jumps guard.

Tiger is looking for a kimura but Jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tiger to get the leverage. Tiger controlling the pace. Tiger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tiger blocks the strikes from Jackson.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tiger throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson misses with a takedown and Tiger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tiger. Tiger sitting in guard, not really doing much. Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tiger manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jackson landing a few strikes. Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tiger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jackson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Jackson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Tiger keeps Jackson under control for a moment. Jerimiah Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tiger wants to control but Jackson postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! John Tiger showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tiger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
