Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omar Bonga (ranked 1674 p4p, 2638 weight class) and Lingo Rex (ranked 222 p4p, 320 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Bonga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Lingo Rex!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rex throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bonga takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bonga tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rex was well out of range. Poor timing from Bonga.
Bonga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rex sprawls well. Rex wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bonga gets slowly back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bonga has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bonga escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rex gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bonga bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rex's guard.

Bonga has gone for a leg lock! Rex slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bonga's guard.
Bonga throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Omar Bonga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bonga looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rex has picked Bonga up and slammed him! Bonga can't keep hold of the triangle and Rex manages to pass to side control!

A close second round but Lingo Rex will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Rex tries to bum rush Bonga with a series of wild strikes but Bonga uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bonga or perhaps it was just good defense by Rex, which made it look bad.
Bonga looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Rex counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rex lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bonga's sensitive parts.
Bonga shoots in and drives through. Rex sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omar Bonga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rex misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rex wants to slow Bonga down by chopping away at his legs.
Rex bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bonga's head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bonga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bonga throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rex lands a leg kick that knocks Bonga off balance momentarily.

Bonga closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rex quickly recovers to half guard.
Bonga is trying to work for a kimura but Rex is defending well.

Lingo Rex comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rex has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lingo Rex decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
