Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Kiwi (ranked 1410 p4p, 2186 weight class) and James Kirk (ranked 174 p4p, 254 weight class). Kiwi comes to the cage accompanied by Reaper. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kirk's choice of entrance music: my fighting ability is alot like my acting. Bruce Kiwi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Kiwi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Kirk!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk throws a wild body kick that Kiwi sees coming a mile off.
Kirk motions for Kiwi to come forward. Kirk throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kiwi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kirk.
Kirk only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Kirk has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kirk just misses with a punch to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Kiwi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
James Kirk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kirk just misses with a punch to the body.
Kirk throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The fighters circling - Kiwi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirk thuds a left hand into Kiwi's body.
Donk. Kirk catches Kiwi right on the button with a cross.
Kiwi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kirk sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kiwi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Kirk throws a head kick that Kiwi semi-blocks.
Kiwi slips a straight right by Kirk.
Kiwi is looking to counter punch.
Kirk lands a leg kick that knocks Kiwi off balance momentarily.

Kiwi avoids the head kick by Kirk.
Kiwi is looking to counter punch.
Nice jab there from Kiwi.
Kirk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kiwi.
Kirk lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kirk misses with the combination.

Kiwi feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kirk sprawling to the canvas! Kirk rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kiwi finish him?!
Kirk is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Kiwi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kirk.
Kirk throws a looping overhand right but Kiwi ducks down to avoid it.
Kiwi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kiwi throws an overhand right that lands on Kirk's shoulder, as Kirk tries to avoid the shot.
Kirk follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Kirk throws a hook but Kiwi avoids it easily.
Kiwi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kirk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kirk gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Kiwi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kiwi moves into the clinch.
Kiwi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kirk tries to throw a body punch but Kiwi avoids it by throwing Kirk back against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kirk.
Kirk breaks from the clinch.
Kirk lands a front kick.
Kirk slips a straight right by Kiwi.
Kiwi throws a lazy uppercut
letting Kirk counter with a right hand.
Kiwi lands with a straight right. Kirk didn't see that one coming.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kirk darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kirk scores with a spinning back kick!
Kirk moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Kiwi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kiwi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kiwi throws a jab when Kirk was well out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kiwi lands with a nice body kick.
A big left from Kirk misses.
A low kick lands for Kirk.
Kirk throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kiwi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kirk throws a lazy uppercut
and Kiwi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kirk throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kiwi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kiwi cracks Kirk with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kiwi has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kirk to stand back up!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Kiwi will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kirk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kirk throws the kick towards the body but Kiwi avoids it.
Kiwi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kiwi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kiwi throws a right hand that misses
letting Kirk counter with a right hand.
Kirk is looking to slow Kiwi down with leg kicks.
Kirk stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kiwi.
Kirk throws out a powerful jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kiwi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kiwi is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Kiwi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kirk moves out of range of the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oooooh!!! Kirk has knocked Kiwi down with a huge combo! Kirk steps away and waves a wobbly Kiwi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Kiwi is rocked!
Kiwi moves out of range as Kirk strikes.
Oh Kiwi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kirk throws a head kick that misses.
Kiwi looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kirk lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kiwi. Kirk pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Kirk!
After winning the bout, James Kirk thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Bruce Kiwi stepped up to the mic, saying 'I had COVID'.
