Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikora Tama (ranked 239 p4p, 359 weight class) and Mike Haggar (ranked 32 p4p, 47 weight class). Tama's entrance music is Haka War Dance. A fine choice. Mike Haggar has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nikora Tama's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikora Tama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 55 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Haggar! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnem�ki, Arvi Lind and Roosa J�rvil�inen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haggar misses with a hook. Tama tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haggar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tama somewhat. Haggar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Haggar misses the jab.
Haggar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tama landing with the ground and pound. Haggar keeping moving, preventing Tama from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haggar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tama with a flurry of punches that miss. Haggar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tama is one step ahead there. Haggar is still trying to improve position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Haggar wants to hit a sweep here but Tama passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Haggar there! Haggar is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tama looking to secure an arm triangle but Haggar defends it well. Tama lands a nice shot to the head. Tama lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Haggar sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tama controlling the action here. Tama is pressing down on Haggar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Haggar is holding on for now.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Haggar manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Haggar keeping moving, preventing Tama from controlling successfully. Tama has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tama sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Haggar's guard. Tama trying to control from half guard but Haggar is working away. Haggar is pressing down on Tama's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Haggar looking for a sweep. Not yet Haggar, not yet.  That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Haggar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Haggar can't keep his opponent in guard - Tama advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haggar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Tama prevents Haggar from improving his position. Haggar is refusing to be controlled, as Tama sits in half guard. Tama working the head and body with strikes. Tama lands strikes from half guard. Tama is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Haggar is trying to get back to full guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Haggar keeps trying to improve his position. Tama controlling the pace. Tama's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tama landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Tama is looking to take a break and control but Haggar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nikora Tama dominated that round. That's time! Tama's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tama closes the distance and clinches up with Haggar, looking for a takedown. Tama pushes Haggar against the cage but Haggar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Haggar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Haggar sizes up Tama with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tama shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haggar defends it nicely. Tama shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Haggar as he jumps to the side. Haggar with the counter takedown but Tama avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikora Tama. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haggar throws an overhand right that lands on Tama's shoulder, as Tama tries to avoid the shot. Mike Haggar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tama misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Haggar.

Tama pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Haggar tumbling to the mat - Tama dives into Haggar's guard. Haggar wants to sweep but no luck. Haggar throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Haggar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tama with a nice head shot there. Tama working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Haggar's head. Tama wants to control from the top but Haggar keeps moving. Tama stopping the sweep attempt from Haggar. Tama advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tama trying to control from half guard but Haggar is working away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tama lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Haggar has hold of Tama's hands but Tama slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Haggar throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tama lands a nice short elbow. Tama seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Haggar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Haggar tries to roll over but Tama keeps him under control. Tama winds up and cracks Haggar with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Haggar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tama is thwarting Haggar's attempts to control the position. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tama here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Tama controlling the pace. Tama drops an elbow to the side of Haggar's head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tama winds up and cracks Haggar with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Tama uses his free foot to push down on Haggar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Haggar.
Tama wants to finish this one by submission but Haggar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tama. Tama controlling from mount. Haggar is looking to get to half guard. Tama scoring with strikes but Haggar is staying in there. Haggar is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tama with a couple of short strikes. Haggar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tama wants to control the pace but Haggar is squirming around nicely. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nikora Tama dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Tama slips under a jab from Haggar. Tama was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tama slips a jab from Haggar. Haggar works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A looping hook to the body misses from Haggar. Tama does a little dance to reset his feet. Haggar cracks Tama with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Tama ducks under a wild hook from Haggar. Haggar missing with a left hand there. Tama was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Haggar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tama was well out of range. Poor timing from Haggar. Tama fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tama shoots for a double leg takedown but Haggar sprawls well. He's pushed Tama's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haggar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tama defends well and Haggar ends up having to push Tama into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haggar has his hands on Tama's head, controlling the position.

Tama got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haggar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tama has managed to get both his arms back between Haggar's legs - danger averted. Tama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haggar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Haggar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tama is one step ahead there. Haggar trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Tama works over Haggar with some ground and pound from guard. Nikora Tama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tama connects with a couple of short punches. Tama landing with the ground and pound. Tama wants to control from the top but Haggar keeps moving. Tama won't allow Haggar to sweep him here.
Haggar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tama defends well.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tama slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Tama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Haggar, who protects the arm well. Tama working the ground and pound. Haggar manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tama's best efforts. Haggar makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Haggar.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Haggar is staying active underneath Tama, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mike Haggar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nikora Tama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Haggar punching from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Nikora Tama showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tama, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
