The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Laperierre to score with a decent uppercut.
Romero looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Laperierre is fending him off so far but Romero persists. Nope, Laperierre circles away and we're back to standing.
