With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Buri Bulchiru!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amwano staying out of range there.
Amwano is looking to counter punch.
Bulchiru misses with a body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bulchiru darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bulchiru throws a looping overhand right but Amwano ducks down to avoid it.
It looked like Amwano wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Amwano throws an overhand right that lands on Bulchiru's shoulder, as Bulchiru tries to avoid the shot.
Buri Bulchiru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bulchiru ducks under a wild hook from Amwano.
A low kick from Bulchiru misses
and Amwano counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Amwano counters with a nice body kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rex Amwano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
