Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivelinho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cole as he jumps to the side.
Rivelinho has a takedown stuffed.
Rivelinho takes a swing at Cole's ribcage but misses.
Socrates Rivelinho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cole avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Cole closes the distance and clinches.
Cole keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rivelinho's efforts to push away.
Cole goes for a takedown attempt but Rivelinho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rivelinho tries to close the distance and clinch but Cole swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cole feinted with a counter takedown.
Rivelinho lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rivelinho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Cole lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Cole closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rivelinho's guard.

Cole stands up and waves to Rivelinho to follow him.
Cole lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Cole avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cole throws a big counter combination but Rivelinho scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Cole throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rivelinho.
Rivelinho shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rivelinho looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Rivelinho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cole, pushing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cole tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rivelinho fails to pull guard.
Cole is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Cole tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rivelinho smiles and moves away.
Rivelinho wants to slow Cole down by chopping away at his legs.
Rivelinho tries to clinch up but Cole circles away and keeps his distance.
Cole tries to counter by clinching up but Rivelinho breaks away and moves out of range.
Cole finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Cole takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rivelinho shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cole sprawls well. Cole wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rivelinho gets slowly back to his feet.
Cole throws a big counter combination but Rivelinho scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kaizer Cole dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Rivelinho tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cole swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cole shoots in and gets a takedown into Rivelinho's guard.
Rivelinho is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cole dives into side control.

Cole decides to stand back up. Cole steps back and let's Rivelinho get back to his feet.
Rivelinho dives in for a single leg takedown but Cole sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Our sources have told us that Cole has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Cole jumps guard.
Rivelinho looking to sit in guard and control but Cole gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cole gets to his feet. Rivelinho looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cole darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rivelinho trying to hold on to Cole's head to control him but Cole postures up.

Rivelinho is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Cole has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook� has he got it?? YES! Rivelinho is tapping! This fight is all over!
