Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Enroll!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Enroll misses.
Hoffmann dives in and grabs Enroll's left leg, looking for a takedown. Enroll pushes down on Hoffmann's head and hops out.
Leon Hoffmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hoffmann closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hoffmann shoots in for a takedown but Enroll shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Enroll really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoffmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hoffmann or perhaps it was just good defense by Enroll, which made it look bad.
It seemed like Enroll was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hoffmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Enroll tries to avoid it but Hoffmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Enroll to the ground. Enroll escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Enroll feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Enroll wants to get up but he can't break Hoffmann's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Enroll accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hoffmann bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Enroll's guard.
Hoffmann wants to control from the top but Enroll keeps moving.
Enroll is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
