Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kareem Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hassan Amir Asikainen!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford misses with an uppercut
letting Asikainen counter with a right hand.
Asikainen misses with a wild combination.
Ford throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Asikainen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A punch lands to the side of Asikainen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A big left from Ford misses.
Asikainen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ford connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Asikainen scrambles back to his feet.
Ford throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ford shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Asikainen defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The crowd cheers as Ford lands an impressive looking overhand right. Asikainen doesn't seem phased though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ford throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Asikainen's waist but Asikainen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ford off to one side.
Ford swats away the attempt to clinch by Asikainen.
Ford was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ford drops his hands momentarily and Asikainen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Kareem Ford has been cut.
Asikainen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ford moves away.
Ford looks to throw the jab but Asikainen is out of range.
Asikainen displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Asikainen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ford is rocked!
BOOM! Asikainen lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ford. Ford tries to recover but Asikainen is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ford lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hassan Amir Asikainen!
During a confident post fight interview, Hassan Amir Asikainen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
