Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Finnlipe Alves (ranked 4164 p4p, 4458 weight class) and Wee Bey Brice Hickey (ranked 449 p4p, 468 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Finnlipe Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wee Bey Brice Hickey!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hickey leaves Alves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Alves pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Alves shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Alves on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A cross from Hickey lands.
Hickey lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Alves looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hickey!
Hickey explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Donk. Hickey catches Alves right on the button with a cross.

Alves shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alves showed some decent athleticism there.
Hickey is looking for a sweep. Alves is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Alves wants to take a breather but Hickey is having none of it.
Alves is controlling the pace.
Alves is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hickey sees it coming and defends easily.

Alves is trying to work for a kimura but Hickey is defending well.

Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alves is trying to control. Hickey wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hickey scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Alves manages to mount him!

Hickey wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Alves misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Alves looking for a guillotine from mount but Hickey is having none of it.
Hickey is squirming around, avoiding Alves's attempts to control the action.

Alves goes for an armbar but Hickey turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hickey.

Hickey wants to stand and escape but instead Alves has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Hickey wants to stand but Alves is controlling the position.
Alves passes Hickey's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Alves seems content to control.
Hickey is trying to get back to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hickey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Alves looking to control but instead Hickey has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alves prevents Hickey from standing back up.
Hickey manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Alves keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Alves is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hickey pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Alves is trying to drag Hickey to the mat but Hickey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hickey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hickey tries to avoid it but Alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hickey to the ground. Hickey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hickey swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Finnlipe Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alves dives in for a single leg takedown but Hickey sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hickey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hickey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Alves looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hickey has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A jab from Hickey does it's job there.
Alves closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nice takedown defense from Hickey. No joy for Alves on that attempt.
Alves moves to clinch but Hickey breaks away
and Hickey counters with a nice uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alves.
Hickey connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Alves's hands.
Alves is looking to clinch.

Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hickey swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hickey cracks Alves with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Alves is rocked!
Hickey drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Alves right on the button. Alves goes down! Hickey follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Hickey gets the win via TKO!
