Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dane Blevins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vinny Corcoran!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Corcoran defends it nicely.
Blevins throws a series of strikes that have Corcoran backpedaling.
It looks like Vinny Corcoran has been cut.
Blevins misses with an uppercut.
Blevins misses with a hook to the body
and Corcoran counters with a leg kick.
Corcoran closes the distance and pushes Blevins back into the cage.
Corcoran breaks the clinch.
Corcoran thuds his right hand into Blevins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Dane Blevins has been cut.
Corcoran cracks Blevins with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Blevins misses with a hook. Corcoran ducked under it nicely.
Corcoran lands a glancing blow to the side of Blevins's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Corcoran steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blevins.
Corcoran lands with a nice combination. Blevins backs away looking to recover.
Blevins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corcoran was well out of range. Poor timing from Blevins.
Corcoran lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dane Blevins's cut is getting worse.
Corcoran lands with a nice body punch.
Corcoran takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blevins. Corcoran does a little dance to reset his feet.
Blevins swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Corcoran counters with a nice low kick that buckles Blevins's knee momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blevins takes one to the side of the head.
Blevins is rocked!
Blevins dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Blevins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blevins gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Corcoran gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Blevins is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vinny Corcoran!
Vinny Corcoran bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
