Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Chavez (ranked 3992 p4p, 4791 weight class) and Eazy Wright (ranked 234 p4p, 280 weight class). Wright is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eazy-Duz-It. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maxwell Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eazy Wright!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Chavez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wright to the mat! Wright manages to get full guard.
Wright pulls Chavez in close to prevent any damage.
Chavez trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wright is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chavez wants to improve his position but Wright is controlling well.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wright working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Maxwell Chavez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Maxwell Chavez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
