Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taisei Sakuraba (ranked 1893 p4p, 2632 weight class) and Thalys Soares (ranked 195 p4p, 273 weight class). The key to victory for Taisei Sakuraba has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisei Sakuraba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thalys Soares!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That was a close round but I would say that Taisei Sakuraba will probably get the nod.

Sakuraba throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Soares was waiting for it though - now Sakuraba's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Sakuraba is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Soares!
