This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 34 wins and 25 losses; Satan Blue! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 12 losses; Radu Dracul!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Blue shoots in looking for a takedown. Dracul tries to sprawl out of it but Blue keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dracul manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dracul changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Blue gets the takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Blue (4) vs (0) Dracul
Dracul tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Blue wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dracul is controlling an arm, preventing Blue from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Dracul sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Dracul tries to roll over but Blue keeps him under control.

Blue takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Blue has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dracul tries to reverse the position but Blue maintains control.

Blue looking to break Dracul's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dracul remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Blue will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Dracul has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
