The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. Dew controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dew wants to pass the guard but Tijhoff is keeping the position. Tijhoff pulls Dew in close to prevent any damage.

 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Dew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tijhoff swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dew trying to control but Tijhoff is working from the bottom. Dew might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tijhoff holds on and takes a little breather. Tijhoff wants to sweep but no luck. Tijhoff looking to control but Dew passes into half guard.
Tijhoff tries to get to full guard but Dew has control of the leg. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Dew with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Dew trying to control from half guard but Tijhoff is working away. Dew takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dew seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tijhoff for as long as he can get away with. Dew tries to pass to full mount but Tijhoff defends it.

 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Tijhoff is trying desperately to improve position. Dew fails to take his opponent's back. Tijhoff is squirming around, avoiding Dew's attempts to control the action. Tijhoff really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Tijhoff tries to lock up and control but Dew gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dew content just to control the position here. Dew fails to move to back control. Tijhoff is trying to escape the mount.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
