This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Linkavitch Chomofsky! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Devin Ecker! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Ecker moves into the clinch successfully.
Ecker tries to pull guard but Chomofsky forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Chomofsky changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ecker fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ecker is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chomofsky can't fight it off and eventually Ecker manages to take the fight to the floor. Chomofsky looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Ecker prevents Chomofsky from getting the reversal. Ecker wants to control the pace but Chomofsky is squirming around nicely. Chomofsky is looking to improve his position but Ecker isn't that keen on the idea. Ecker fails to move to back control. Ecker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chomofsky is looking to escape.

Chomofsky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chomofsky looking to pass the guard. Ecker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Ecker stands and throws Chomofsky's legs to the side, diving into side control.
