Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Jurab (ranked 4545 p4p, 2527 weight class) and Sonny Mccoy (ranked 413 p4p, 261 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerome Jurab!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sonny Mccoy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Mccoy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mccoy slips a jab and a cross from Jurab.
Mccoy looks to land a right hand but Jurab moved out of range.
Mccoy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jurab shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jurab showed some decent athleticism there.
Jurab is taking a breather. Mccoy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mccoy tries to kick Jurab off but Jurab keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jurab definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Mccoy is looking for a sweep. Jurab is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mccoy has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Jurab's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mccoy misses with a two punch combination.
Mccoy scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jurab in his tracks.
Mccoy wants to clinch.
Mccoy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mccoy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mccoy tries to bum rush Jurab with a series of wild strikes but Jurab uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mccoy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jurab throws out the jab.
Jurab lands a body shot.

Mccoy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jurab seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
A left and a right from Mccoy both land. Nice combination.
Mccoy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jurab to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jurab not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mccoy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jurab defends it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sonny Mccoy will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Jurab cracks Mccoy with an uppercut from hell and Mccoy crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Jurab's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Jurab paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Mccoy - great work!

After the fight, Sonny Mccoy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
