The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Wiener gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wiener has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sousa after a bit of a struggle.
Wiener tries for a takedown but Sousa manages to get underhooks.
Wiener jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sousa walks away with a smile on his face. Wiener gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alex Sousa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Wiener.

Wiener is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sousa pulls his head out easily.

Sousa wants to work for an arm triangle but Wiener is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wiener is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wiener might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sousa haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sousa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wiener doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wiener manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wiener must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wiener is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sousa has his foot on Wiener's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wiener works his way back into a safe position though.
Sousa is trying to keep Wiener in close.

Sousa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wiener is aware though and is defending well.

Sousa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wiener pushes down on Sousa's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sousa is pressing down on Wiener's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sousa keeping moving, preventing Wiener from controlling successfully.
Wiener stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sousa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sousa has his feet on Wiener's thighs here. He's pushed Wiener off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Wiener screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
