Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pallach Antot (ranked 4387 p4p, 4430 weight class) and Caio Fuentes (ranked 338 p4p, 340 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pallach Antot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Fuentes!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Antot closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Antot content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Antot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fuentes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Antot wants to stand but Fuentes has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Antot has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Antot gets to his feet. Fuentes looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fuentes circles away from the clinch attempt

and Fuentes counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Antot!

Fuentes working the strikes but Antot uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fuentes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Fuentes is working for an americana but Antot has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Fuentes was thinking about the submission.
Fuentes trying to control but Antot is working from the bottom.

Fuentes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Antot is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Antot has escaped and now he's on top!


Antot stands and steps away. Fuentes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Antot moves into range and clinches up with Fuentes.

Fuentes pulls guard.

Fuentes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Fuentes has his foot on Antot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Antot works his way back into a safe position though.

Antot gets to his feet - Fuentes follows without any prompting.
Fuentes takes a kick to the side of the head.
Antot stuffs the takedown attempt from Fuentes. Fuentes gets slowly back to his feet.

Antot has Fuentes up against the cage in a clinch.

Fuentes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Antot gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Fuentes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Antot smiles and moves away.
Pallach Antot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Fuentes.
Fuentes shoots in for a takedown but Antot shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fuentes gets tackled into the cage by Antot. Antot maintains the clinch.
Antot content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Fuentes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Antot gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fuentes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Antot using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Fuentes has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fuentes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Antot walks away with a smile on his face. Fuentes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Antot scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Antot decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Fuentes keeps the fight on the outside.

Antot closes the distance and clinches.
Fuentes tries to pull guard but Antot won't allow it.
Fuentes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Antot to keep the fight standing.
Fuentes jumps guard but Antot turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fuentes fails to pull guard.
Antot really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Fuentes fails with a takedown attempt.
Antot seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Antot clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Antot controlling the action here for a moment.

Fuentes wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fuentes successfully pulls guard.
Antot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fuentes can do to turn this around?

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Antot jumps guard and drags Fuentes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fuentes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Antot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Fuentes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Antot is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fuentes, into his guard.

Fuentes has closed the distance and engaged Antot in a clinch.

Fuentes jumps guard but Antot turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fuentes pulls Antot into guard.

Antot stands and steps away. Fuentes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Antot throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Caio Fuentes has been cut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fuentes drives through and clinches with Antot against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Fuentes dives in for a single leg takedown but Antot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fuentes gets caught flat footed, as Antot shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Fuentes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Antot gets to his feet - Fuentes follows without any prompting.
Fuentes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Antot but Antot pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fuentes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fuentes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Antot defends it easily.
Fuentes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Antot gets to his feet - Fuentes follows without any prompting.

Antot closes the distance and pushes Fuentes back into the cage.
Antot with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Fuentes is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Fuentes tries to pull guard but Antot holds him up against the cage and eventually Fuentes drops back down to his feet.
Fuentes managing to block the knees to the body from Antot.
Fuentes wants to get back to striking at distance but Antot won't allow it.

Antot pulls guard.
Fuentes wants to control from the top but Antot keeps moving.

Fuentes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Antot dives on top into guard.


Antot stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Antot gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fuentes.

Fuentes is trying to pull guard but Antot has him pressed against the cage.
Stalling in the clinch from Antot.
Antot comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Fuentes misses with a knee to the head.
Fuentes is looking to take this one to the mat.

Antot pulls guard successfully.
Antot has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fuentes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Well Antot has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
