Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jumba Smif (ranked 1864 p4p, 25817 weight class) and Saekenpai Fairtex (ranked 164 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jumba Smif!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saekenpai Fairtex!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurstr�m and Roosa J�rvil�inen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex misses with a takedown attempt
and Smif counters with a nice uppercut.
Fairtex dives in for a single leg takedown but Smif sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Smif counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jumba Smif has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saekenpai Fairtex.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smif dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fairtex. That did some damage!

Fairtex has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Smif.

Smif scores with a head kick. Fairtex tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

We've been told by Smif's head coaches at Ruttos gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smif works Fairtex's body with a nice hook.
Fairtex is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fairtex misses with a takedown
and Smif counters with a two punch combo.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fairtex.
A counter left hand to the body from Smif misses its target.

Saekenpai Fairtex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fairtex shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fairtex takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fairtex shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smif but Smif pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
