And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silas Hodge!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva goes for a double leg but Hodge avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hodge continues to drive forward.

Da Silva drops back looking for a leg! Hodge is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hodge manages to kick Da Silva off! Da Silva jumps back into Hodge's guard.

Da Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hodge manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Da Silva has Hodge in his guard.

Da Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hodge is aware though and is defending well.

Da Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hodge looks to throw the jab but Da Silva is out of range.

Da Silva manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hodge on his heels. He'll look to pass Hodge's guard now, I'm sure.

Da Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hodge has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Da Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Hodge's legs - danger averted.
