PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Rockmuller (ranked 937 p4p, 1592 weight class) and Neal Robson (ranked 131 p4p, 212 weight class). Neal Robson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Don Rockmuller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Neal Robson!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robson throws a body punch but Rockmuller moves out of range.
Rockmuller tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robson defends well and Rockmuller ends up having to push Robson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Robson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rockmuller manages to avoid it.

Robson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rockmuller rather than just go for the knockout.
Robson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Rockmuller stumbling backwards into the cage! Rockmuller bounces back off the cage towards Robson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Robson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Robson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Neal Robson!
