Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Burns (ranked 25672 p4p, 3057 weight class) and Graham Grant (ranked 449 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Graham Grant! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Grant shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burns as he jumps to the side. Burns displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grant. Burns appears to be looking for a big counter. Burns is trying hard to land a takedown here. Grant sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Grant shoots for a double leg takedown but Burns sprawls well. He's pushed Grant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Alex Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Graham Grant. Burns looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant tries for a takedown but Burns sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Grant fails with the takedown. Burns throws a low kick but Grant avoids it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Burns throws a body shot but no joy.
Grant shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burns napping and manages to drive through into side control! Grant working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Burns's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Grant has hold of Burns's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Burns seems comfortable defending it but Grant has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Burns is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Burns is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Grant couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Graham Grant!
